Hail, Brothers and Sisters of the GCDF:

I have read with interest all the circular messages on whether or not to create an alliance wing for the newer & lower ranked players. I would indeed do this, but have a few questions as to how to implement such a thing and make it work; I would like alliance input on this topic, you can respond in the circulars or use the forum page for it also..

1: Who would lead the Wing alliance?

2: What is the player point cutoff for players to remain in the main alliance and who would be placed in the GCDF Academy?


I would need a few of the Brigadier Omega Commanders who would be willing to step up and help lead the alliance, as we work to develop an academy for our newer & lower ranked players and work out the details as we move forward with this idea.

In regards to the first question, I would volunteer to lead the Academy as it is my wish to help our members work to become stronger players, help them to develop their worlds, answer their questions and have them graduate to the main body of the alliance. We can continue to use the GCDF forum as our main source of communications for the whole alliance.

we would just need to work out the details of creating the Academy and it's members. I look forward to your responses, please post them in the forum in the Galactic Class Defence Fleet :: Alliance Reports :: Alliance Academy News section, and you can post a short response also in the circ's, but keep it short, as a lot of members don't like reading so many messages when they log into the game...get's distracting having to read thru all the messages to see what is important and what is not.

i c ur point. as for rule 2 i do not know and i think the supreme commanders should vote on the cut off
Despayre i think u should lead the acadamy and another supreme commander should stay and run the GCDF

I feel that we should create a "wing" alliance for the GCDF, I volunteer to be the leader of the GCDF Academy and will work to help our members to build up their colonies, learn how to build and use their fleets and work to graduate them to the main Alliance.

I am waiting to hear from our members on this topic in order to get everyone's input on what the requirements for the Academy would be.

I would much rather a 'Group' system.

It doesnt matter how big a player is , if there is a fleet lying around doing nothing it will be a target. Even the number 1 player needs to fleetsave.

Group 1 = All players over a certain score (10K), seperated into 'Packs' depending on location strongholds.
Group 2 = Players below score level and Newbie protection - with Despayre as main leader for them to contact.
Group 3 = All Inactive and VMode players

This way, Despayre is still a leader of alliance, and we dont have to split up and all players, even newbies get the feeling of belonging to 'The Greater Good'

yes but then people would be confused after awhile
i think if were going to make a 'wing' we should have split alliances
i think the point cut off just for the GCDF is 5k points (noob protection)
then have the leader set a givin amount of points or ranked selections ( ranked like 1000 -500 or something)
and Despayre no offense i think you should stay with the GCDF you've always lead us to glory and i would like to see that continue as im sure everyone else would
we have 7 supreme commanders i think we should put 2 in a wing so we have some more protection
and they'd have to be active not game wise but messege wise and just about every1 except me or despayre are fairly quiet ingame (no offense)
if you guys want Ill start it but i would only need help with the banners and alliance page so any1 willing to do that is very welcome

I would be willing to help. I'm not sure I could offer much in the way of protection, but I'll do what I can where I'm needed.

I would lead the "academy" if you want. i will teach the members all i know should i be appointed. besides i really hate sitting around not doing anything for the alliance. i will make the academy for GCDF.

also i think the supreme commanders should stay where they are. what's the point of an alliance wing if the alliance's strongest players join it?
